Learn to Ride an ATV
Just as much fun as snowmobiling (some think more), and available
almost 10 months of the year. More and more outdoor enthusiasts want
to participate in this unique outdoor experience. All terrain vehicles
(ATV's) are quickly replacing snowmobiles in popularity as a sport.
Yamaha and Honda both report that ATV sales exceed that of snowmobiles.
This sport will permit you to cross terrains not accessible on foot.
You'll be able to experience the wilderness in an entirely new way.
Due to the size and agility of an ATV, there is very little disturbance
to the natural environment. We have developed riding trails with minimal
to no impact on nature.
These machines are very safe to operate once you learn how to handle
them properly. This is why we put a great deal of emphasis on training,
as part of the overall experience. You will be given hands on practice
to learn the following skills before going on our ATV trails. Our
instructors are all experienced ATV operators.
Ascending a hill
Descending a hill
Negotiating an angled slope
Cornering techniques
How to maneuver over objects on the trail
Proper braking
Proper acceleration
We have designed a special training area where you will be able to
practice all these techniques. Once your tour guide is comfortable
that you have mastered the basic skills, you will be taken on our
main trail for a totally fun and adventuresome experience. A tour
guide will be with you at all times, and stop frequently to view the
scenery and allow you opportunities to take pictures. Don't forget
your camera.
You'll be given a certificate for completing the training program
and trail ride.
Upon completion of this program, you will be able to go on longer
rides, off site, using machines and trails provided by other suppliers.
